Laminate Flooring - Weaving Magic Into Rooms
By: AlexxpuNkrEaNk GrEzIkraYa, at 02:14 - 22/06/2012
Who hasn't dreamed of a room with an expensive-looking wood or stone flooring? Despite a budget, it can now be possible with laminate flooring. It was introduced by the company Pergo to the Swedish market in 1984. About 50 years prior, they started using laminates on tabletops, and this made their company a byword in the industry.
The popularity of laminate flooring then spread to Europe beginning in the late 1980s and on to the U.S. in the mid-1990s. It is now the fastest-growing choice in America, due to its huge appeal to consumers wanting the look of real wood but looking for something that is less costly.
Aside from the obvious cost advantage of laminate flooring, another benefit of using this material for your home is its ease of installation. A number of manufacturers now offer glueless systems which makes extremely convenient both for do-it-yourselfers and professional contractors.
Laminate kits are now available in stores nationwide, and apart from the easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions, they include the underlayment and the planks themselves. However, you still would need to buy minor but equally important items such as transition strips, matching floor boards, and grate covers.
You'll be pleasantly surprised to know that you can save about half of the cost of a professional contractor if you do the installation yourself. Most folks who have studied the method can install flooring at a rate of about 200 square feet a day!
Another benefit of flooring is its impressive durability. It is said to be fifteen times stronger than real hardwood, and most manufacturers even give a warranty of up to 15 years. Moreover, the finish of laminate is highly UV-resistant so its design won't fade even after constant exposure to the sun's rays.
What makes this material strong is its construction. Laminate flooring is made of four layers which are melded together. The top layer is also known as the wear layer and is what makes the laminate flooring scratch-resistant.
The next layer is the design layer and gives the flooring its color and design. It is usually made of cellulose paper with a design printed on it. Since it is protected by the top layer, the design won't easily wear off over time.
The core layer is the laminate flooring's main part and is generally made from particle board. Some brands even have paraffin wax and other water repellents incorporated into the core for added durability.
The backing, or the stabilizing layer, is comprised of another laminate or a layer of cellulose paper which has been saturated with resins.
Due to the glueless installation system for laminate flooring [http://naildesigniwik.blogspot.com/], there is no messy glue to clear up after renovation, and the floor could be used immediately after working on it. The available boards are also wider than real wood planks, considerably cutting installation time.
Finally, it is quite easy to maintain. Spills and stains can be effortlessly removed with a damp cloth and some detergent, after which the flooring would again look as good as new.

How to Have Pretty Nails
By: AlexxpuNkrEaNk GrEzIkraYa, at 02:14 - 22/06/2012
With the below steps you can have beautiful hands and nails in the comfort of your own home without visiting a nail spa or salon. Step one to having beautiful nails is to eat better. It might be the hardest thing to do, but it will by far be the most helpful. Taking a multivitamin will also help grow stronger, longer, healthier nails.
Have the proper tools ready: salt or sugar scrub, an orange wood stick to push cuticles or specialty cuticle pusher, a sharp nail cutter(optional: as needed), cuticle remover cream(optional), cuticle oil or balm.
- Before starting: are your nails even? Do they need to be cut? Do this first unless your nails are extremely hard. If nails are hard do it after the next step.
- If you use a cuticle remover, apply that then soak hands in warm water for several minutes. Use a sugar or salt scrub during this process but scrub to lightly exfoliate hands.
- After several minutes dry your hands. Push back the cuticles lightly. Do not apply to much forceful pressure at this point as you can damage this delicate area.If you have and are experienced with a cuticle cutter now is the time to use it. I do not recommend using one on anything except obvious white dead pieces of the cuticle.
- The next step is to apply a cuticle oil or balm, finish with hand lotion.
- Once lotions have soaked in you can use a bit of isopropyl alcohol on cotton to remove excess oil from the nail, be sure to avoid the cuticle. You can now apply nail hardeners or nail polish to complete the look.
If you complete the above steps once a week you will begin to have smoother prettier nails and hands within a few weeks. Remember there is no magic bullet for nail growth, it takes time.

Nail Art Designs - Nail Care Preparation
By: AlexxpuNkrEaNk GrEzIkraYa, at 02:14 - 22/06/2012
Before you get to the creative part, you must first prepare to do your own nail designs. In other words, it is best to give yourself a quick manicure or pedicure before applying nail art. Beautiful bare feet look great in a nice pair of shoes, but not if you have dry, ashy feet. You want your feet to appear radiant by using the right foot care products on them.
If you already take care of your hands and feet, you may only need to apply lotion before doing your nails. At a minimum, wash your hands or feet and apply lotion. After applying a moisturizing lotion, take a towel and rub it well across each nail. Also use the towel on your hands. This will remove any oils on your nails so the nail art stays in place when you apply it later. Next, you should trim your nails into the shape you want them for your nail designs. Usually, people follow the natural shape of their nails whether that is square, round, or triangular. A nail file can shape and trim your nails easily without removing too much of your nail.Follow up by applying clear nail polish to all of your nails. This protects the nail and helps prevent nail polish from staining your nails. Choose a color of nail polish and apply it on top of your clear coat. Now you are ready to create nail art magic! Be creative and design your nails. Another article in this series will show you step by step how to do your own nail designs. If you are anxious to get started, you can dip a toothpick in nail polish and make flower nail designs. If you are using nail decals, pick one off carefully with a pair of tweezers and place it on to your nail. Finish with a thin layer of clear nail polish to keep it all in place and you are done!
The Magic of Manicures
By: AlexxpuNkrEaNk GrEzIkraYa, at 02:14 - 22/06/2012
Why do we go through all of the trouble of getting a manicure we may ask ourselves? Because manicures are the secret weapons that are used by most women.
Some of my friends say that they get manicures because they are not as expensive as therapy. A manicure can be a good quick pick you up when you're feeling blue. They can also instantly make you feel prettier (or at least a little fancier). You see pictures everywhere of women with perfectly manicured fingers.
You can't open your favorite magazine or turn on the television without seeing a set of perfectly manicured fingers these days. Maybe it's the ease of which we can now get manicures. There are nail salons opening up all over the place. Most with opening offers! free or half price, trying to compete with other salons.
You see lots of different types of manicures in magazines and catalogues. I have seen a lot of different designs and stones put on the tops of people's finger nails and toenails.
Recently a friend got a pedicure, she was asked by the manicurist if she would like a design on her big toe. She said thought about it for a minute! Before saying no! I told her it would have been cool to have a design or a stone on her toe, but she said she thought it was her way of getting her to spend more money.
After all, she said she's not the trendiest person in the world and not exactly a teenager either, so she would have probably looked ridiculous with a design on my nail or toenail. After her saying that, I do think that nail designs have their place in the manicure world. I've seen a lot of other people with these images, and it looks great on them.
In magazines you can all ways see ads for a new type of nail polish. Some say they are chip proof, others advertise a shine that is long lasting. There is even a nail polish for dogs, product they were advertising was called dog pawlish. Would you believe it a polish for the dogs. I thought it was really cute and would have bought some, if I had a dog. Do you know!! I might just get one!!! A dog that is!!! Dogs aside though, manicures are important to all women at some point and time in their lives, even if they won't admit it.
There is always a time when every woman considers a manicure to be of the most important thing that she must do, this could be when getting engaged, married or even just a girly night out with friends when you just know that they too will have their hand and feet digits perfectly pedicured and manicured.
Did you know that manicure and pedicure parties are becoming a staple of all bridal parties, Even if you aren't the bride.
